Creating an SIA Account

Our last batch of learners are due their Door Supervision Exam Results any day so we thought it would be useful to explain the step by step process of how to create an SIA account and start your badge application.

Step 1 – Go to and click register for a personal account.

Step 2 – Fill in your personal details . You can create your own user name and password so you should pick something you are likely to remember.

Step 3 – Verify your account. The SIA will send you a  validation email to the email address that you provided. Log into your emails and follow the link. It often lands in your SPAM folder.

Step 4 – Request a Business Link. If Eventcover are funding your badge contact the office to link to you. In your SIA account go to my messages and follow the instructions. *

*Eventcover can only pay for your SIA badge if you are in receipt of a valid job offer.

Step 5 – On the Home Tab click Start a New Application. Complete the questions and submit. Make note of your application number.

Step 6 – Verify your Identification. Take your application number and the identification you used for your Door Supervision exams to the post office and ask for an SIA ID check

Step 7 – Keep an eye on your SIA account for any further actions. Your badge can take up to four weeks to be granted.
